How to use the pitch changer

Know the pitch changer limits
Large moves in the pitch changer can sound thin, rough or less clear. A full octave is a strong effect, not a promise of a natural voice. Check cymbals, held notes and word endings before you use the file in a final mix.
The pitch changer processes audio on your device with no server upload. It does not overwrite the original. Download a version you want to keep before you leave or reload the page, since the workspace is not a saved project.

Will the pitch changer change tempo?
No. The pitch changer keeps the original duration and pace while moving the notes. Listen to a few drum hits in both versions to compare the timing. Strong shifts can still change the texture.
Does it support every audio format?
MP3 and WAV are the safest choices. FLAC, M4A, AAC and OGG support depends on browser codecs. Protected files and streaming URLs are not supported. Convert an unsupported file before importing it.
Can I use this on a full mix?
Yes, within the file limits. Every sound in that mix shifts together. For separate control over vocals, bass and drums, export those stems from your DAW and edit them one at a time.
